Imagination and Fiction, Kolloquium at the GAP 2015 (September 2015)

The workshop funded by the German Association for Analytic Philosophy discusses the relationship between imagination and our engagement with fiction.

Recent Events:

Semantic Pluralism Workshop (17.-18. January 2015, Special Guest: David Chalmers)
The workshop focusses on discussing the different explanatory values that semanticc values can play for the investigation of language and thought, and the idea that more than one kind of semantic value is needed to fulfill these explanatory roles.

Konstanz Reasoning Conference (23.-27. July 2014)
The Konstanz Reasoning Conference aims at bringing together philosophers from around the world working in different areas related to the nature and the epistemology of reasoning broadly understood: theoretical reasoning, practical reasoning and the normativity of rationality, the psychology and phenomenology of reasoning, the formal structure of rationality and reasoning and the epistemology of reasoning and inference.

Imagination Retreat (11.-14. July 2014)

The aim of the retreat is to bring together philosophers from the Zukunftskolleg, from different working units at the University of Konstanz and expert guests who are currently working on imagination and closely related topics to discuss work in progress and to develop new forms of collaboration.
